Smaller size ice cream

I found this article and this is so true.

I knew the size of ice cream shrunk. I buy Dreyer's Rocky Road for DH, and noticed the package had changed. My DH is one of those people who cannot deal with the change. I could tell he is going to go nuts and say "This is not the same!!" So, I looked and looked in the shelve to find the "original" package.

Well, they were gone, gone, gone. Welcome to the world of smaller size. I have to tell DH to get used to it.

It was hard for me on the yougurt! I used to by the store brand 8 oz size. They change their packaging and the size is now at 6 oz!

I noticed this a year or so ago. The standard ice cream carton is no longer 2 qts. it is 1.75 and some are even now going to 1.5 qts. I always feel like they are ripping me off my scaling down the size but keeping the price the same. I have also notices that some of the pasta boxes have recently gone from 16 oz. to 12 oz. (and the price has still gone up on these).

I guess they think we won't notice. Not!
