Real people's story

I found this in CNN Money.

While I felt sorry for some of these people, I think some people are their own enemy.

I don't want to be too harsh on them. I'm not perfect, either. And, make mistakes here and there all the time.

Maybe we should tell them to read Saving Advice.

Yeah I read those as well. They made it sound like everyone is just dying when its a bit over the top. I don't know anyone who is having that many issues and I know plenty of people who live paycheck to paycheck...

It does not really give enough information. Have these people cut out all the extras they can? I wonder if they are like some of my friends who complain about being broke but spend $100 a month for a cell phone and $30 every night to eat out. I have no sympathy for that. I know some people work very hard and do everything they can but are still in a desperate situation. Others want to complain but are not willing to make sacrifices.

Did you notice that at least half of these are/were people in the mortgage, homebuilding, or otherwise real estate related business?

    Joan.of.the.Arch,

You're right!! It seems that people in that area of business was hurt the most. If that's the case, they enjoyed the easy ride of good market days, too. Don't you think?
