According to Yahoo Finance I read yesterday, we are officially in recession. Dah....

I was watching news this morning, and they were talking about the price increase of milk, bread, and eggs. I guess we are ahead of media as we already discussed about the egg price increase. They were saying the price of eggs doubled in a short period of time which I personally observed. I think people should visit SavingAdvice if they want a scoop about personal finance LOL
By the way, I still have $44 worth of Walgreens catalina I need to use. I spent $48 on things I can roll, i.e. FAR items. Boy, I didn't think spending money can be so difficult LOL Since I bought most of FAR items for this month, I will spend the rest for something I can hardly get coupons for, such as nice wrapping paper. I know Aquafina water will be on sale next week, so I am planning to get three cases or so. There won't be much going on next week at Walgreens for me, but it will be a good week for Rite Aid FAR deal. I will be hitting RA for sure.

What's really funny about the comments I've heard from Bernanke and Bush, for example, is that they are announcing how they're building a strong economy and a strong dollar. Of course, what interviewer had to come out and ask the analyst that they've invited to the show was, how such a thing could be possible when the market and economic indicators is clearly showing the contrary. The analyst said he believes they're talking about the future... perhaps out to 20, maybe 30 years out, and whether our economy is going strong.
Um, excuse me what? If that's true, talk about trying to look at this from the "bright side", how ever faint that may be. Bush and Bernanke's sound bites never stated such a thing. So, somebody is tripping on something. All I know is my "paper loss" on my 401k is substantial, and gas prices are through the roof. I don't know what our administration wants to call it. As far as I'm concerned, we're in a recession!
